Internet Creating, Saving and Opening Favorites
Internet
Explorer Favorites and Firefox Bookmarks are both the same idea, and do
the same thing. They are a way for you to save into a list
websites that are favorites. Maybe you have a favorite music
site, news site, or school site. You can save this site in a list
on your web browser. Remember Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google
Chrome are all web browsers. Control d in Internet Explorer and
Firefox will bring up a box that will allow you to type a name for the
favorite or bookmark and then hit the Enter key to save it as a
Favorite or a Bookmark. To bring up the list of Favorites in
Internet Explorer or Bookmarks in Firefox, use Alt a for Internet
Explorer or Alt b for Firefox. A list of your Favorites or
Bookmarks will appear. Either hit the first letter of the name of
a Favorite or Bookmark, or down arrow to that item. Hit the Enter
key one time and that web page will come up. You can actually
create folders for specific categories of Favorites or Bookmarks.
If
you want to make a Favorites specific folder such as Music in Internet
Explorer, press Control D, hit Tab until you get to the "New Folder"
button, hit Enter one time, type the name of the new folder, and hit
Enter two more times. If you want to make a folder in Firefox,
press Control d, hit Tab two times, hit Enter one time, Tab one time to
the "New Folder" button, hit Enter one time, type the name for the "New
Folder", hit Enter one time, Tab to the "Done" button and hit Enter one
more time. Your new folder is created. To add a Favorite or
a Bookmark into a folder, go to the web page you want on your list,
press Control d, then hit Tab one time to move to the combo type box
for folders, then use your arrow keys to navigate to the folder you
want, and then hit the Enter key, then Tab to the "Add" button in
Internet Explorer, or the "Done" button in Firefox.
When you
open the Favorites list (Alt a) or the Bookmarks list (Alt b), you
can down arrow through folders and individual links. If you want
to open a folder, simply hit the Enter key one time, and then down
arrow through the links in that folder. When you hear the link to
a web page you want to open, hit the Enter key one time and that page
will open.
