Check Boxes
Check boxes on a web page allow you to select or unselect items. Maybe there is a list of items, each with a check box beside it. You are instructed to check the boxes of any items you like. There might be a web based form with check boxes where you indicate by what you check items that you want more information about. Web based survey forms can have check boxes where you check items based on a question. The letter "x" takes you to a check box on a web page. You can keep hitting the letter "x" to move down the check boxes on a web page, or press and hold down the Shift key and hit the letter "x" to move backwards or up the check boxes on a web page. To check a box, hit the space bar. To uncheck a box, hit the space bar. Following are examples of check boxes for you to practice using. At the end of this page is a "BACK" link to take you to the "Internet Lessons" page.
NOTE: There are three sample sets of check boxes below, each with a heading. Hit the letter "h" to move through the headings, find the heading you want, and then hit the letter "x" to move through the check boxes for that heading.
